Privacy
What we collect when you use seenandfound.com, why, who helps us run it, and how long we keep it. Questions or requests go to hello@seenandfound.com, and a person on the team answers.
Our three promises
- Nobody calls you unless you book a call yourself.
- We email you the report and may follow up by email.
- Your email is never sold or shared.
The services listed below handle your details only to run this site for us, never for their own use.
Who we are
Seen and Found runs seenandfound.com and is responsible for the information described here. We are registering the company now, and this page will name it once that is done. Until then, write to hello@seenandfound.com about anything on this page.
What we collect, and why
| When you | What we keep | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Run the free scan | The business you pick (its name, address, website and public Google listing) and the scan's results | To show you your report, and to send it if you ask |
| Ask for the full report | Your email, the business, and the ad or link that brought you (campaign tags) | To email you the report, follow up by email, and know which ads work |
| Send us a message or book a call | Your name, email, what you wrote, and the time you picked | To answer you, and to hold your call |
| Join the waitlist (a business outside the US) | Your email, the business and its country | To email you once when the report opens there |
| Chat with our assistant | Your questions and its answers, under a scrambled session code, without your name or IP address | To improve its answers |
| Use the search, the scan or the assistant | A scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, counted per day | To stop bots and limit abuse. We never store the address itself |
The scan reads public information about businesses only. It never asks for a login and never gets access to your accounts.
Who helps us run the site
- Cloudflare: hosting, the security check that stops bots (Turnstile), our database, and turning your report into a PDF.
- Resend: sending the report and our emails.
- Google Workspace: our inbox, where your replies and messages arrive.
- Cal.com: booking calls.
- PostHog: counting visits and showing us how the site is used (described under Ads and measurement).
- Anthropic: writing the assistant's answers to your questions.
- For the scan, business information only: Google (Maps, its speed test, Gemini), OpenAI, DataForSEO and ScrapeCreators.
Some of these companies are in the United States, so your information may be handled there.
Ads and measurement
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and use Meta's Pixel to see which ads bring people here and which lead to a report request, a booked call or a message.
- What Meta receives: the pages you view, those steps, your IP address, your browser type, and Meta's own cookies (listed on our cookie page). When you ask for a report, book a call or send a message, our server also tells Meta it happened, with the same details.
- What Meta never receives from us: your email, your name or your business.
- Meta uses this under its own privacy policy, which includes showing you ads.
We also use PostHog to count visits and see where the site is hard to use. It records the pages you view, what you click and how far you get in the scan, and it can record your visit as a replay of the page. The replay never shows what you type in any field, and never your chat with the assistant or your email address. PostHog uses your IP address only to tell which country you're in, then discards it, and we never tell it who you are.
To opt out of both, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser (several browsers and extensions offer it). Neither the Pixel nor PostHog then loads, and our server tells Meta nothing about your visit. You can also block trackers in your browser, or change your ad settings in Facebook or Instagram under Ad preferences.
How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Assistant chats | 30 days |
| Bot and abuse counts | 30 days |
| A website's speed test results | 30 days |
| Visit replays (PostHog) | 30 days |
| Visit statistics (PostHog) | 1 year |
| Scans and their reports | 24 months |
| Your email and request, if you don't become a client | 24 months, then deleted automatically |
| Client details | As long as we work together, and as long as the law requires after |
You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.
Your choices
- Stop our follow-up emails: reply "stop" to any of them.
- See, correct or delete what we hold about you: write to hello@seenandfound.com.

And the rest
This site is for businesses, and not meant for anyone under 16.
We protect what we keep with encrypted connections, access limited to the team, and keys kept out of our code.
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Big changes we will also tell you about by email if we hold yours.
